Heel Pain/Plantar fasciitis

 

Diagnosing plantar fasciitisHeel Pain/Plantar fasciitis - this painful problem is usually diagnosed as "heel spurs". It is actually plantar fasciitis.

Plantar fasciitis is a chronic inflammation of a ligament-like structure that passes from the heel to forefoot.

The inflammation is caused by micro tears in the fascia from excessive pressure, abnormal forces and weight on the arch from poor foot alignment.

Other causes of heel pain are:

  1. Fracture
  2. Arthritis
  3. Nerve entrapment
  4. Sever's Disease (Calcaneal apophysitis)
